Transitional AOD Workers - Multiple Roles

The Community Restorative Centre (CRC) is a community based agency providing assistance to people affected by the criminal justice system.

We have multiple opportunities for Transitional AOD Workers:

  • 38 hours per week
  • Contract to 30th June 2018
  • Terms and Conditions of employment as per Level 4 Pay Point 4 of the SCHADS Award 2010
  • Rate of pay equivalent to SACS Award Grade 4 year 4 ($66,331 gross per annum plus super and generous salary packaging options)
  • Based at Chippendale

All positions will focus on the provision of AOD counselling, health promotion, support and referral to individuals for whom access to mainstream services remains difficult and /or inaccessible. Casework services are delivered on an outreach basis. Position is generally Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm; with occasional out-of-hours’ work to be performed as required.

Transitional AOD Worker (Metro)

This position will provide outreach drug and alcohol counselling and support to people leaving NSW Correctional Centres – in particular, those with an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment; with a mental illness; who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; and/or women who have dependent children.

Transitional AOD Worker (WentWest)

This position will provide outreach drug and alcohol counselling and support to men on remand and serving short sentences at the Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre, Silverwater who will be leaving custody and residing in the Western Sydney Primary Health Network area.

Transitional AOD Worker (Identified Position)

This position will provide outreach drug and alcohol support and counselling to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people leaving NSW Correctional Centres. This is an identified position. CRC considers being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander as a genuine occupational qualification as specified under section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
