Transition Worker - Boarding House Outreach Service (Maternity Leave position)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Transition Worker to work in partnership with Newtown Neighbourhood Centre’s Boarding House Outreach Service, based in Sydney’s Inner West:

  • 38 hours per week
  • 12 month maternity leave contract
  • Rate of pay equivalent to SACS Award Grade 4 year 4 ($71,761 gross per annum plus super and generous salary packaging options)
  • Terms and Conditions of employment as per Level 4 Pay Point 4 of the SCHADS Award 2010
  • Based in Sydney’s Inner West

The position will provide a broad range of transitional outreach casework services for people who are involved in the criminal justice system, and are either living or intending to live in boarding houses, while experiencing multiple needs including homelessness, mental illness, cognitive impairment and AOD issues. Casework services are delivered on an outreach basis. The position is generally Monday to Friday with some flexibility between 8am and 6pm, and occasional out-of-hours work to be performed as required.
